Today, June 30, 2022, according to rumors, should be the day of the announcement of the release date of God of War Ragnarok. Now, however, comes an opposite claim from the always well-informed Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg reporter and insider. According to what he indicated, the recent information shared by Cory Barlog suggests that this will not be the case.

As you can read above, Jason Schreier tweeted that “regarding the rumors of God of War Ragnarok: until recently, there were indeed plans for the announcement of the release date, scheduled for June 30, according to reports from people familiar with the project. Cory Barlog’s recent tweets suggest that this will not happen. In any case, as far as I know, the game has not been postponed again. ”

The tweets Schreier refers to are the following, in which Barlog asks players to be patient. He does not directly quote God of War Ragnarok, but it is clear that he refers to that game.

But suppose the most important thing for players right now is Schreier’s “confirmation” regarding the release date – this delay in the announcement shouldn’t mean the game has been postponed.
Even Cory Barlog, as you can see below, claims that the release date has not been postponed. It is possible that Santa Monica is packing a new trailer to announce the release date and is therefore finishing the work on it: maybe the announcement has been postponed only a little, or Sony has decided to create a real State of Play. dedicated, at the last second, and preferred to take a little more time to organize it.
