A team of developers has prepared the Anonymous Camera application which undertakes the editing immediately after taking the photo or video, in order to anonymize them. Playground.AI ‘s revenue from the app will go to Black Visions Collective and Unicorn Riot in the first month.
The application is supported by iPhones and was developed based on the anonymity of journalists, activists, and researchers where anonymity plays an important role. The Anonymous Camera app offers real-time face blurring and users can choose to blur entire bodies and anonymize voice recordings.
In addition, the user can choose to hide the metadata such as time, date, and location while he can choose exactly at which point in the frame the blur will occur. At this point, it is worth noting that the application works even if the phone is in flight mode as all processing is done on the smartphone.
