Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro is equipped with a LiDAR scanner

A tweet on Twitter this end of the week indicated a presumed new iPhone 12 Pro this year. You can see from the image that there is an improved camera combination on the back. Much the same as the 2020 iPad Pro, the new LiDAR scanner appears for the first time.

The original source of the exposed image was Concepts iPhone, they said they got this image from iOS 14. In the picture, we can clearly see the “iPhone 12 Pro” or “iPhone 12 Pro Max” camera combination, including wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses, and the 2020 iPad Pro LiDAR scanner.

Numerous reports show that the current year’s “iPhone 12” flagship item will be equipped with a new depth sensor on the back. This image permits you to see all the more clearly how Apple will revamp the camera combination to suit the new LiDAR scanner. For instance, it appears that the flash can be moved to the center of the cluster to make room.

It is widely expected that Apple will launch a new “iPhone 12” series of new machines in the fall, although some reports indicate that due to the economic uncertainty caused by COVID-19, the release of the new machine may be delayed. On the iPhone, the LiDAR scanner may provide similar features as in the iPad Pro, including improved augmented reality features.
