TikTok said in a statement to The Daily Telegraph that it accessed the clipboard to identify repetitive sexual harassment.

For TikTok, this is caused by a function that recognizes repetitive sexual harassment. We have submitted an updated version to the App Store and removed this feature to eliminate any potential confusion.

TikTok is committed to protecting the privacy of users and is transparent about how our applications work.

MacRumors said that at present, the TikTok update has been submitted to the App Store, and downloading the update confirms that TikTok no longer accesses the clipboard.
