Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.
At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. WHO will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings become available.
Apple said in a statement on Thursday that the closure will affect stores in Florida. This means that 16 of Apple’s 18 stores in the state are closed again, and only two of Jacksonville and Sarasota continue to open.
“Due to the current epidemic in some of the communities we serve, we have temporarily closed stores in these areas,” an Apple spokesperson told Bloomberg. “We have taken this step with great caution. We will pay close attention to the situation and look forward to our team and customers coming back as soon as possible.”
