Android 11 officially stops support for Daydream virtual reality. According to Android Police, Google issued a statement saying that its latest version of the Android system no longer supports applications on the VR platform.

The statement stated: “Google no longer supports the Daydream VR application, and may not work properly on some devices running Android 11 or higher.”

According to Google, although users can still access third-party VR applications through the Play Store, they will not receive updates.

Beforehand, Google has put Daydream VR on hold. The company stopped using Daydream View headsets in 2019 and gave up support for the new Pixel phones, but will continue to provide support for Daydream apps for existing users. Now, this situation is about to end.
